Director's Report: No report due to the work of moving to the new Propsect Senior Center and planning for the new Center. Bus Report received for September and October, 2000.

Old Business: Mike Rutkowski is still working on the new format for bus reports. Lorraine reported she makes quarterly reports to the state. Jeannette asked if she could make monthly reports to the Commission On Aging in the same format as the state reports. Jeannette asked if a maintenance book is kept for the MiniBus. Lorraine said no maintenance book now. Lorraine asked how long she should wait for people to come out for the bus. They know when it comes and some make her wait every time. Jeannette suggested a time limit. Mike Rutkowski suggested leave it up to Lucy Smegielski to write letters to consistantly late people and let her take care of the problem.
Jeanette Lamron and Mike Rutkowski went to Rocky Hill for the State Meeting of the Commission on Aging.
Jeannette Lampron gave each member a copy of the Municipal Ordinance for the Commission on Aging.

New Business: Miriam Caouette brought in a card for all of us to sign to send to Mayor Bob to thank him for all his hard work during the planning and building of the new Prospect Senior Center. Jeannette got the ok from Town Hall to send in an application form and fee to join the National Commission On Aging CT Action Network. They have websites people can access from their computers. After she teaches people at the Senior Center they can access these websites. Lucy Smegielski as director of the Senior Center got a call to lease the Great Room for a wedding reception she was asking what the Commission would like to do. It was decided the Commission on Aging will not entertain this idea at this time. Lucy reported the new center is going very well but very hectic. Senior groups are booking the Center for meetings and Lucy is in charge of bookings. She read that the Lion's Club advertised a Health Screening at Prospect Senior Center she knew nothing about. When you book a meeting you fill out a form stating who is in charge and their phone numbers.

TRIAD Report: Marge Bell reported the next meeting is November 8, 2000 at 1:00 p.m. at the Firehouse with a talk on "Choosing your electric electric company". Everyone is urged to attend as we all have to choose a company.

AARP Report: Meeting today at Prospect Senior Center at 1:00 p.m. with Stephen Piechota "Alternative Medicine."

Prospect Senior Club Report: The meetings are to be at the Prospect Senior Center from now on. The next meeting is November 14, 2000, 1:00 p.m. in the Great Room.

Public Participation: None

A motion was made by Miriam Caouette, seconded by Al Miele to adjourn the meeting at 10:35 a.m. Vote Unanimous.

The next Commission On Aging meeting will be on December 6, 2000.
