December 3, 2001

The Prospect Commission On Aging meeting was called to order at 10:00 am by Chairperson Jeannette Lampron.

Members Present: Jeannette Lampron, Miriam Caouette, Ruby DeCosta, Joseph Thompson, Michael Rutkowski, Richard Kuhn, Albert Miele Sr., Jean Reilly

Members Absent: None

Others Present: Lucy Smegielski, Bill Brown

A Motion was made by Joe Thompson, seconded by Jean Reilly to approve the minutes of the regular meeting November 5, 2001. Vote Unanimous.

Director's Report: A Motion was made by Joe Thompson, seconded by Al Miele to accept the Director's Report. Vote Unanimous. Lucy Smegielski wrote up a petition, which will be changed from Prospect Seniors to Prospect Residents and Miriam Caouette is in charge of circulating it. The beautiful Christmas Tree and Wreath in the Senior Center are courtesy of the Mayor's office. A Motion was made by Mike Rutkowski, seconded by Ruby DeCosta to accept the mini-bus reports for October and November as presented. Vote Unanimous. In the November bus report the operating expense listed as repair is to fix the brakes. It is high due to the dual wheels. Lucy remembrances to the 25 Prospect area residents serving in Bosnia.

Old Business: The document for "Use of the Prospect Senior Center" is in the Mayor's hands but not signed as yet.

New Business: The Prospect Senior Center needs letterhead paper with the Director's name. Jeannette will look into the start of the process of a grant for a new mini-bus. Discussion but no action taken on the CD coming up for renewal. Jeannette will check into the possibility of a grant for a bocci court and horsehoe pit to be built at the Senior Center.

AARP Report: Meeting December 7, 2001 at the Fire House. Christmas Party will be held at Manor Inn on December 12 at 12:30 pm. Call Vicky Greco if you are going.

Prospect Senior Club Report: A Christmas Party will be held on December 11 at 12:00 pm at the Fire House. Over 100 have signed up to go.

Public Participation: None

A Motion was made by Al Miele, seconded by Richard Kuhn to adjourn the meeting at 10:35 am. Vote unanimous.
