a Motion was made by Miriam Caouette, seconded by Al Miele to approve the minutes of the regular meeting on December 6, 2000. Vote Unanimous.

Director's Report: Lucy Smegielski reported the Senior Center is running smoothly. Final work on the Center is being taken care of by the contractors. There were $165 in donations. Denise Skripp will have to go back to two jobs. Consequently the center will be short staffed and will have to close when there are bus trips because now Lucy has to go on them instead of staying to keep the Center open. Jeannette would like to see it open on Saturdays at least in the summer. The Seniors went on a Christmas Light tour in December. The Seniors are going to "Toy Story on Ice" next week. Lorraine Morris handed out the bus report for December 2000. She takes Reservations from people who ride the bus regularly, each week, for the next weeks run when they are on the bus. It should be added to her Job Description. New reservations are taken at the office.

Old Business: Mike Rutkowski went to Murphy's Auto to check on the labor charge on the bill submitted in December. It was explained: The Bus has to have two jacks under it to change to snow tires, one for the body, one for the wheels. It is different from a car so a labor charge is necessary for a bus and not a car. Very basic Computer lessons will start today at 11:00am, at the Senior Center taught by Jeannette Lampron for Seniors.

New Business: Gina Ash received a Grant from the State for Prospect Housing Rehabilitation to assist low to moderate income residents maintain their homes in a safe, efficient and sanitary living condition. Guide lines exist to qualify for a low or no interest loan. This Grant is from the State of Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development.

TRIAD Report: The Christmas Party was a huge success! January 10 is "Preparations for Emergencies." February 14, "Entering a Long Term Care Facility: What you need to know."

AARP Report: There will be a brown bag lunch at the meeting on the 1st Friday in February. Feb. 2, 2001. There was a "Pizza Party." (with Pizza made by Lucy) , at the last meeting, liked by all. March will be a 'Corn Beef and Cabbage Dinner" with a speaker from the national organization.

Senior Club Report: Instead of meeting at the Church parking lot for trips out of town, they will meet at the Center to leave off cars and stay warm in the building waiting for the bus. The next meeting is January 9, at 1:00pm.

Public Participation: None

A Motion was made by Mike Rutkowski, seconded by Jean Reilly to adjourn the meeting at 10:25am. Vote Unanimous
