Old Business: The Petition requesting Senior Housing is being circulated for Prospect Citizens signatures. Many more signatures are needed. Mayor Bob will check into State Regulations for the Proposed 'Use of the Prospect Senior Center'. The approval is tabled for a month. Locks could used to keep unattended children out of the Director's Office, Pool Room, and Computer Room. Gina Ash has submitted a request for a grant for a new Mini-Bus. It probably won't be approved this year as the five year wait ends wih this year. Next year it should be granted. Funding for a Bocci court and Horseshoe pit is still being checked out.
New Business: Lorraine Morris will be out on sick leave and Mayor Bob and Lucy are working together on getting a temporary replacement to drive the Mini-Bus. Mayor Bob is concerned people don't realize the Old Fire House lot is not really parking for the Senior Center. Eight new places will be opened in the Spring in the existing lot and some spaces are available behind the Police Station. The old lot will be grassed over and curbing installed. While grass is growing no one can use it to park. After the grass grows and is ready for mowing, parking will be allowed on it through two curb cuts. Mayor Bob will renew terms for Commission Members who agree to serve again.
AARP: February 1st is the next meeting with a brown bag lunch at 11:30 am at the Fire House with Bingo afterward.
Prospect Senior Club: Membership enlarging. Still interested in seeing as Bocci court and Horseshoe pit installed.
Public Participation: None
A Motion was made by Joe Thompson, seconded by Al Miele to adjourn the meeting at 10:35 am. Vote Unanimous.
