Commission on Aging

January 6, 2003

The Prospect Commission on Aging meeting was called to order at 10:01 am by Jeannette Lampron, Chairperson.

Members Present: Jeannette Lampron, Miriam Caouette, Albert Miele, Joseph Thompson, Michael Rutkowski, Richard Kuhn, Jean Reilly

Member Absent: Ruby DeCosta

Others Present: Mayor Robert Chatfield, Lucy Smegielski, Bill Brown

A motion was made by Michael Rutkowski, seconded by Richard Kuhn to approve the minutes of the regular meeting December 2, 2002. Vote Unanimous.

Director's Report: Reno Gola is donating his time to paint the inside of the Senior Center. A thank you letter will be sent to thank him for his time and express our appreciation. Brief discussion over cost of coffee and pastry. Toni Barnes is now working on Mondays. A motion was made to accept the bus report for December by Michael Rutkowski, seconded by Joseph Thompson. Vote Unanimous.

Old Business: There is nothing new on Senior Housing in Prospect as funding is not available.

New Business: A letter will be sent to Guy Mauriello of 27 New Haven Road.

AARP: The January 3, 2003 meeting was cancelled due to snow. The February meeting agenda is not announced yet.

Prospect Senior Club: There is a full house for Bingo. Membership is now 450 members.

Public Participation: None

A motion was made by Michael Rutkowski, seconded by Joseph Thompson to adjourn the meeting at 10:15 am. Vote unanimous.
