Approved Minutes

June 4, 2007

Members Present: Richard Cipriano;Acting-Chair, Inez Bramhall, Joe Thompson, Bernice Wilson and Elaine Pizzuto.

Members Absent: Rev. Phyllis Norman; Chair, Rev. Mark Suslenko and Evelyn Laliberte, Ruby DeCosta.

Call to Order:
The meeting was called to order by Acting-Chair Richard Cipriano at 10:00 A.M. All were asked to stand to recite the Pledge of Allegiance.

Approval of the Minutes: Inez Bramhall made a motion to approve the minutes of April 2, 2007. Joe Thompson seconded it. All in favor. Unanimous

Director's Report:
Lucy mentioned there will be a Free Health Fair on Wednesday, June 27 @ 2 P.M. at the Center. It will consist of Health Screening, Information about Health and Well-Being Opportunities, and Educational Presentations.

New Business:
Mayor Bob asked the commission to look out the back of the Great Room to explain what still needs to be done. The lot needs grading, The sidewalk will be installed. You will see a catch basin 4 inches above the ground. There will be woodchips added - sand taken off streets will be used for 2 water lines projects. Rows of parking will be available down back. Have started using grant money and will do the paving, lighting around the building along with the telephone pole with 2 or 3 lights. Fencing will surround the parking lot to insure safety. Reinforce the guideline for parking in and around the parking lot. Handicap Specifications will meet all expectations. First couple of days Mayor Bob will engage a police presence. The importance of not parking now is that the fence is not up yet, but will be after the lot is paved. There may be a path made from Community School. There will be a big difference at the next meeting in August.

Prospect Senior Report:
Inez Bramhall spoke about the Senior Picnic that will be held on July 17 at the VFW on teh Cheshire Road. The cost will be $6.00 with the Senior Center picking up $3.00. Catering will be by the Dairy Bar. The menu will consist of hot dogs, hamburgers, tossed salad. baked beans and more.

Bus Report: The Bus Report was handed in for the months of January, February, March and April 2007. Motion made by Elaine Pizzuto to accept the bus report, seconded by Inez Bramhall. All in favor. Unanimous

Public Participation:
Motion made by Bernice Wilson to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Inez Bramhall. All in favor. Unanimous. The meeting was adjourned at 10:30a.m.

The next meeting will be on August 6, 2007 at 10:00 at the Senior Center.
