Recycling Buckets

If you lose your recycling bucket, or it becomes damaged, come to the Mayor's Office in the Town Hall and we will be glad to replace it for you. All recyclables can be placed in the one large blue bin that is available for residents.

Residents can recycle magazines, orange juice cartons, milk cartons, and juice box containers, plastic bottles #1 & 2, along with the glass and cans. Magazines and newspapers must be put in brown paper bags. Cardboard may also be put out at curbside. The cardboard must be cut into a 2x3 square and tied. Everything else can be put together in the large bin.

To review the recycling schedule, please visit the Recycling Center Page, or go to: Recycling Center

Recycling Center Permits

The Recycling Center is located on Plank Road and is open on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The Center is open to Prospect residents only, and is for residential disposal only. Commercial vehicles will not be allowed into the Recycling Center. Residents also need a permit to enter into the facility. The permit is free and can be obtained in the Mayor's Office. In order to receive a permit, please bring the following with you:
