What is "Bunco?"

BUNCO will be held at the Center on Monday, December 15, 2008 at 1 pm. The game is played using three dice in multiple groups of four people each. Each game is made up of several sets of six rounds. Players score points when the number shown on any die is the same number as that round.

Come early at 11:30 am and you will see how easy it is to learn the game and enjoy a great pizza lunch beforehand with all your friends. Cost for the pizza lunch is $4.99.

Sister's Christmas Catechism

Long Wharf Theater Sister's Christmas Catechism: The Mystery of the Magi's Gold will show on Wednesday December 17, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. Meet at the Center to leave at 12:30 pm. Tickets are limited so please sign up early. We cannot hold your place without payment.

Make-Your-Own Suet BirdFeeder

Feed the birds this winter season on Monday, December 29, 2008 at 1 pm. Lucy will show you how to make a very simple winter suet mixture for your feathery friends. It's easy, affordable and the birds will love it!

Moscow Ballet's Great Russian Nutcracker

This great ballet will be coming to the Palace Theater in Waterbury on Thursday, December 18, 2008 at 7:30 p.m. Meet and leave the Center at 6:30 pm. The mini bus will be providing transportation to and from the show. Cost for the tickets are $57.00 for upper orchestra seats. We are limited to ten tickets.

Dial-A-Ride REMINDER

FREE Bus Dial-A-Ride Transportation is available for Seniors. The program allows disabled residents and senior citizens age 60 and over the opportunity to go shopping , make medical appointments and visit other locations within the region's coverage area in Cheshire, Middlebury, Naugatuck, Prospect, Thomaston, Waterbury, Watertown, and Wolcott. The program is on a first come first serve basis. For more information, contact the Prospect Senior Center at 758-5300.

Common wheelchairs and certain scooters can be brought along on the bus, as well as personal care attendants accompanying eligible participants. Residents do not have to be a member of the Prospect Senior Center to apply, and the service is also available for non-senior residents who are disabled.
