Special Zoning Board of Appeals Meeting
Called to order at 7:01 P.M. by Chair Dominic N. Moschella. Members present: Jeffrey Slapikas, Martin Atkins, Dominic Moschella and Alternate George Havican. Absent: Fred Harkins, Betty Lou Holley & Alternate Donato Orsini. George Havican was seated for Betty Lou Holley.
Motion made by J. Slapikas, 2nd by M. Atkins to approve minutes as amended. Motion Unanimous
PUBLIC HEARING: 7:05 P.M. ZBA Application 13-2001- Darren & Christine Bedard, seeking an 8 foot variance of the required 50 foot front setback in a residential zone. Property located at 24 Hemlock Road. Notice published in the Republican-American 12-3 & 12-13 read into the minutes. Applicant reviewed request. Address was originally 188 Cook Road & setback was 25', when road was changed address became Hemlock Rd. required a 50' setback. Non-conforming lot, built prior to zoning. No one spoke in favor or opposition. Motion made by M. Atkins, 2nd by G. Havican to close the public hearing at 7:10 P.M. Unanimous
Motion made by J. Slapikas, 2nd by M. Atkins to approve ZBA application 13-2001 of Darren & Christine Bedard an 8 foot variance of the required 50 foot front setback, hardship caused by completion of Hemlock Rd. increased the need for front setback. Property located at 24 Hemlock Road. Motion Unanimous
