The Board of Recreation special meeting was called to order by Mike Palmerie, Jr., and seconded by Mary Witham at 7 pm.
Board Members Present: Mary Witham, William Sereduck, Mike Palmerie,Jr., Sharon Abney, Mary Gluck, and Larry Fitzgerald
Board Members Absent: Dick Cipriano
Also Present: Christopher Moffo, Program Director, Todd Vanhoutan, American Ramp Company, and Tom Galvin, Prospect Citizen.
Guest Public Participation:
Todd Vanhoutan from American Ramp Company was present as the representative for the American Ramp Company Skate Park Bid.
Opening and Review of Skate Park Bids:
Only one bid was received from Todd Vanhoutan, American Ramp Company. The bid was received and stamped by the Town Clerk on March 5, 2008.
The Board of Recreation opened and reviewed the Skate Park Bid. The Board of Recreation reviewed their bid requirements to insure the bidder complied with the bid requirements.
C. Moffo informed Todd Vanhoutan that the Board of Recreation has decided to install the park at a permanent site. C. Moffo asked Todd if there would be a difference in equipment as a result. Todd Vanhoutan informed the Board of Recreation that the equipment is designed to be installed at a permanent site however, some communities choose to maintain the park as mobile.
Todd Vanhoutan informed the Board of Recreation of a ten percent increase for enclosures in the park. Todd Vanhoutan will email C. Moffo further information about the enclosures.
Mike Palmerie,Jr., motioned to accept the skate park bid from American Ramp Company and Mary Witham seconded the motion. Motion unanimous. The American Ramp Company Skate Park Bid was accepted.

Motion made by William Sereduck and seconded by Larry Fitzgerald to adjourn. Motion unanimous. The meeting adjourned at 7:51 pm.
