The Board of Recreation meeting was called to order by Mike Palmerie, Jr., and seconded by Mary Gluck at 7:00 pm.
Board Members Present: Mary Witham, William Sereduck, Sharon Abney, Mike Palmerie Jr., and Mary Gluck
Board Members Absent: Larry Fitzgerald and Richard Cipriano
Also Present: Chris Moffo, Program Director, and two Bidders for the Skate Park Fence.
Chris Moffo opened the meeting with a review of the Skate Park Fencing Bids:
The first bid - Master Fence - 12998.00
The second bid - Gateway Fence & Guardrail - 9660.00
The third bid - Southington Rustic Fence - 13675.52
The fourth bid - Perfection Fence - 13617.00
Chris read details submitted on each bid. Members were asked to look over the bid requirements. The bids were opened at this meeting with the intention of awarding the bid at the July 9th meeting. Some discussion followed.
Motion was made by Mike Palmerie, seconded by Bill Sereduck to adjourn the meeting. Unanimous. The meeting adjourned at 7:16 p.m.
The next meeting will include a site walk at Hotchkiss Field at 6 p.m. followed by the regular meeting at Town Hall on July 9th at 7 p.m.
