FENCING:
If you enjoy swordplay and have always wanted to learn, then join this class! It will promote your coordination through exercise, both physical and mental. It will develop your agility and teach you self control and confidence. It takes place on Friday nights from 6:30-7:30pm for beginners and 7:30-8:30pm for intermediates at Algonquin school.

Advanced Fencing:
This program will be offered to those participants who have successfully completed both the beginner and intermediate classes. Participants will learn new foot work and skills for bouting.

Competitive Fencing:
If you are a competitive fencer looking to "up your game" and get into optimum shape for competition, our Monday night competitive league will help you get to your goal! We meet Monday nights from 6:30-8:30pm at Algonquin School.
This league is designed for the person who is currently competing and wants to do even better at their next competition. It is one full hour of straight footwork and one hour of open guided fencing. Serious fencers who are currently competing are encouraged to participate. This league will improve your footwork and better maintain your level of energy while working with your teammates.

The instructor, Ms. Sandra Marchant has over 11 years of experience. She holds 7 Connecticut State Medals and currently ranked #2 in the State in epee and in 2001 she held the most fencing medals taken in the State Games. Ms. Marchant took the gold in the women's epee, silver in the women's foil, silver in men's epee and bronze in the mixed saber. She also has won many other various tournaments including the most recent on January 6, 2008.
