Pool Rules and Procedures

RULES

Everyone must sign in and show identification before entering the pool. Prospect and Beacon Falls Residents ONLY will be admitted to the pool, all others will be asked to leave.

STATE POOL REGULATIONS

  • A person shall bathe with warm water and soap before entering the pool.
  • Any persons knows or suspected of having a communicable disease shall not use the pool.
  • Spitting or blowing of the nose in the pool is prohibited.
  • Running, boisterous behavior, or horseplay is prohibited.
  • SWIMMING POOL RULES

  • Swimming is allowed only when the facility is open an lifeguards are on duty.
  • Proper swim attire (bathing suites) is required in the pool.
  • Children who enter the pool must no longer require the use of diapers.
  • Children under the age of SIX must be accompanied by a responsible person 18 years of age or older.
  • Talking with lifeguards while on duty is prohibited.
  • Flotation devices, swim aids, face masks, pails, toys, ect., are prohibited in the water.
  • Keep off lane lines and buoys.
  • No loitering
  • The towns of Prospect and Beacon Falls are not responsible for valuables lost or stolen.
  • The nearest first aid station is located in the Lifeguard/First Aid Room.
  • There is to be no diving.
  • Persons with open sores, cuts or rashes are not allowed in the pool.
  • Lap lanes may be open unless pool is crowded and will interfere with normal swim.
  • Violation of pool rules may mean suspension and/or loss of privileges.
