Approved Minutes - August 14, 2008
Meeting called to order at 7:00 by Chairman Alberto Mimo.
Members Present:Alberto Mimo, Bill Andrews, Gary Baldowski, John Kaufman, Ann Stein, Alexander DeLelle, Theresa Graveline, Chris Moffo. Also present was Heidi Samokar from Planimetrics.
Minutes of June 23, 2008 meeting were reviewed. John made a motion to accept the June 23, 2008 minutes. Discussion followed with no suggested changes to the minutes. Alex seconded the motion. Vote all in favor. (Theresa and Chris abstained because they were not at the June 23, 2008 meeting.) Motion carried.
Heidi Samokar asked that we provide her with additional information on the goals for existing and future open space in town. She also needs us to determine what is the vision statement of our open space plan. Discussion between Heidi and subcommittee members followed.
John provided Heidi with a copy of the Regional Plan of Conservation and Development that was adopted in June 2008 (prepared by the Central Naugatuck Valley Council of Governments).
Members will try to gather and summarize information Heidi requested and provide it to her by 9/11/08 or 9/18/08.
The next meeting is scheduled for August 21, 2008 at 7:00 p.m.
Motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Gary Baldowski. Alex seconded the motion. Vote all in favor. Meeting adjourned at 9:00 p.m.
