The Prospect Public Library Board Special meeting was called to order by Vice Chairperson Carole Moschella at 7:30 p.m. at the Propsect Public Library.

Members Present: Carole Moschella, Nancy Via, Kathleen Greene, Judy Kennelly, Lorraine Dixon, Ira Kamm, and Suzanne Loud.

Members Absent: Susan McKernan, Shirley Sabo

Others Present: Barbara Smith, Loren Webber

Approval of Previous Minutes dated November 8, 2007:
General Discussion. A motion was made by Nancy Via to approve the minutes for the November 8, 2007 meeting, seconded by Judy Kennelly. Motion unanimous.

Treasurer's Report: General discussion. A motion was made by Ira Kamm to accept the December and January treasurer's reports, seconded by Kathleen Greene. Motion unanimous.

Librarian's Report: A general discussion was held regarding the librarian's report for December and January. A motion was made by Nancy Via to accept the librarian's report, seconded by Lorraine Dixon. Motion unanimous.

Technology Report: General Discussion was held regarding computers.

Approval of Bills: A general discussion was held. A motion was made by Lorraine Dixon to approve the bills as presented, seconded by Suzanne Loud. Motion unanimous.

Chairman's Report: None

Old Business: The second draft of the proposed budget for the library for 2008-2009 was discussed.

New Business: A proposed change to the holiday closings was discussed. It was agreed that the library would be closed the day after Christmas of Friday, December 26, 2008 instead of Wednesday, December 31, 2008. A motion was made by Lorraine Dixon to accept this change, seconded by Ira Kamm. All unanimous.

A discussion was held regarding the internet policy of the library. A new, updated form was reviewed.

Adjournment: A motion was made by Lorraine Dixon to adjourn at 8:30 p.m., seconded by Ira Kamm. Motion unanimous.
