The Prospect Public Library Board of Directors meeting was called to order by Chairperson Susan H. McKernan, at 7:04 p.m. at the Prospect Public Library.

Members Absent: Judy Kennelly, Suzanne Loud, Kathy Graveline

Approval of Previous Minutes April 2, 2009: A general discussion was held. Lorraine Dixon moved that the minutes be approved as presented, seconded by Nancy Via. Motion Unanimous.

Treasurer’s Report:
A general discussion was held. A motion was made by Kathleen Greene to accept the May, 2009 Treasurer’s report, seconded by Ira Kamm. Motion Unanimous.

Librarian’s Report:
A general discussion was held. A motion was made by Lorraine Dixon to accept the May, 2009 Librarian’s report, seconded by Carole Moschella. Motion Unanimous.

Approval of Bills:
A general discussion was held. Motion by Lorraine Dixon to accept the bills for payment as presented, seconded by Nancy Via. Motion Unanimous.

Chairman’s Report:
Thank you to everyone who attended the Town Meeting and voted to approve the Town Budget. Thanks to Loren and Don Webber for their donation of $450.00 to support the library’s Summer Program. Thank you to the Friends of the Prospect Public Library for their donation of $2,000.00.

Old Business: None.

New Business:
A general discussion was held on the estimates received by Weathertite Systems, LLC and DJM Home Improvement, LLC for the repairs needed on the roof. Motion by Ira Kamm to contract with Weathertite Systems, LLC for the roof repairs, seconded by Lorraine Dixon. Motion Unanimous.

Motion by Ira Kamm to transfer $5,000.00 from Staff/Clerk Account #7350-02 to Continued Maintenance Account #7350-06, seconded by Lorraine Dixon. Motion Unanimous.

Motion by Lorraine Dixon to go into Executive Session at 7:28 p.m., seconded by Carole Moschella. Motion Unanimous. Board came out of Executive Session at 8:48 p.m. No motions were made.

A motion was made by Ira Kamm at 8:48 p.m. to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Kathleen Green. Motion carried unanimously.
