The Prospect Public Library Board of Directors meeting was called to order by Chairperson Susan H. McKernan, at 7:00 p.m. at the Prospect Public Library.

Members Present: Susan H. McKernan, Suzanne Loud, Kathy Graveline, Lorraine Dixon, Nancy Via, Kathleen Greene, Ira Kamm
Members Absent: Carole Moschella, Judy Kennelly
Others Present: Barbara Smith, Loren Webber
Public Present: None

Correspondence: Thank you card to Lauren Webber from Heather Ianonne for all her work with the Cub Scouts.

Next Meeting Date: Thursday, October 8, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. at the Prospect Public Library.

Approval of Previous Minutes August 13, 2009: A general discussion was held. Lorraine Dixon moved that the minutes be approved as presented, seconded by Nancy Via. Motion Unanimous.

Treasurer’s Report:
A general discussion was held. A motion was made by Ira Kamm to accept the September, 2009 Treasurer’s report, seconded by Kathleen Greene. Motion Unanimous.

Librarian’s Report:
A general discussion was held. A motion was made by Suzanne Loud to accept the September, 2009 Librarian’s report, seconded by Lorraine Dixon. Motion Unanimous.

Approval of Bills:
A general discussion was held. Motion by Lorraine Dixon to accept the bills for payment as presented, seconded by Kathy Graveline. Motion Unanimous.

Chairman’s Report:
Chairperson Susan H. McKernan commented on the beautiful job B & B Masonry did on the sidewalk repairs.

Old Business:
General discussion was held on the sidewalk repair work that was done and Barbara Smith discussed the rewiring that needs to be done for the new air condenser.

New Business: None

Good of the Order:
Thank you to Barbara Smith from Nancy Via on behalf of the Historical Society for the excellent selection of books she has provided for the book club.

A motion was made by Nancy Via at 7:15 p.m. to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Kathleen Greene. Motion carried unanimously.
