The Prospect Public Library Board of Directors meeting was called to order by Acting Chairperson Carole Moschella, at 7:00 p.m. at the Prospect Public Library.

Members Present: Lorraine Dixon, Kathy Graveline, Kathleen Greene, Ira Kamm, Judy Kennelly (7:05 p.m.), Suzanne Loud , Carole Moschella, Nancy Via

Members Absent: Susan H. McKernan

Others Present: Barbara Smith, Loren Webber

Note from a new patron from Waterbury complimenting the staff on their helpfulness during her recent visit.

Approval of Previous Minutes September 9, 2010:
A general discussion was held. Nancy Via moved that the minutes be approved as presented, seconded by Ira Kamm. Motion Unanimous.

Treasurer’s Report:
A general discussion was held. A motion was made by Suzanne Loud to accept the October, 2010 Treasurer’s report as presented, seconded by Ira Kamm. Motion Unanimous.

Librarian’s Report:
A general discussion was held. A motion was made by Lorraine Dixon to accept the October, 2010 Librarian’s report, seconded by Kathleen Greene. Motion Unanimous.

Approval of Bills:
A general discussion was held. Motion by Lorraine Dixon to accept the bills for payment as presented, seconded by Kathy Graveline. Motion Unanimous.

Chairman’s Report: None

Old Business:
General discussion was held. Motion by Judy Kennelly to accept the Proposed Library Board Meetings for 2011, seconded by Ira Kamm. Motion Unanimous.

General discussion was held. Motion by Lorraine Dixon to accept the Proposed Holidays and Closings for 2011, seconded by Nancy Via. Motion Unanimous.

General discussion was held. Motion by Lorraine Dixon to accept the Revised Museum Pass Policy, seconded by Ira Kamm. Motion Unanimous.

New Business: None

Good of the Order:
Lorraine Dixon complimented Barbara Smith on the wonderful evening with a local author on October 5th. Barbara Smith thanked Lorraine Dixon for baking cookies for the event.

A motion was made by Nancy Via at 7:30 p.m. to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Kathleen Greene. Motion carried unanimously.
