INFOLINE is the statewide Information, Referral, and Crisis Intervention Service. Callers can reach help 24 hours a day by dialing 211. INFOLINE's professional caseworkers are backed by community representatives and an extensive computerized database of human services. They provide up-to-date information about agencies and programs; make referrals to appropriate community resources; and intervene in crises, including suicide prevention. Extensive information is available on child care resources and availability, alcohol and drug treatment program's, Alzheimer's disease, maternal and child health programs. Child Care Resources can now be accessed through 211.
All Services are free and confidential and may be accessed toll-free by calling 211. TDD (Telecommunications Devices) and multi-lingual staff are available. INFOLINE is a public/private partnership of the State of Connecticut and the United Way of Connecticut.
