McGrath Park

McGrath Park has the beautiful new fountain in the center of the pond. This park also has many feathered friends that show up daily.

There is plenty of room on the field for picnics, and it is a beautiful spot to fish when fishing season opens each year.

Directions to the Park

Coming up from RT. 68 from Cheshire:
The park will be on your right after you pass Trotters Way on the right. It is almost directly across from Northwest Public Safety Communication Center (EMS Center).
Parking for the park in located next to Long River Middle School. To get to the school, follow RT. 68 up until you reach the traffic light and the center of Prospect. Take a right at the light, and take the first right. You will drive past the Prospect Town Hall, and continue down the hill until you see Long River. The parking area for the park is on the right hand side.

Coming up from Rt. 68 from Naugatuck:
Follow Uncion City Road (RT. 68) through Prospect passing through one stop light, and ending up at the traffic light in the center of Prospect. At the light, take a left and take your immediate right into the Long River Middle School entrance. You will pass the Prospect Town Hall on your right and continue down the hill until you see Long River. The parking area is on the right hand side.

Coming up from RT. 69 from Waterbury:
You will follow RT. 69 up through two traffic lights. Once you reach the center of Prospect, you will have passed Dunkin Donuts, and St. Anthony's Church will be on your right hand side. Turn left into the Long River Middle School entrance, which is right before you go through the traffic light in the center of Town. You will pass the Prospect Town Hall on the right hand side, and continue down the hill until you see Long River. Parking is located on the right side.

Coming up from RT. 69 from New Haven:
Follow RT. 69 down through the valley and up passed Canfield Park and the Firehouse. Once you reach the traffic light in the center of Prospect, Doyon's Mobil will be on your left. Go through the traffic light and take an immediate right into the Long River Middle School entrance. You will pass the Prospect Town Hall on the right side, and continue down the hill until you see Long River. The parking area for the park is on the right hand side.
