The Naugatuck Savings Bank is pleased to announce a Community Awards Program that allows their customers to decide how they award $50,000 to local communities. Each year, Naugatuck Savings Bank Foundation receives numerous requests from local charities and non-profit organizations to assist them in meetings their funding needs. As a leading corporate citizen, they believe it is their responsibility to help the communities they live in. Naugatuck Savings Bank values the opinions of their customers, therefore, they want to give each customer a chance to cast a vote for a local charity or non-profit organization they feel is deserving of grant money from the Foundation.
The Community Awards Program is open to each Naugatuck Savings Bank customer to cast one vote. Voting will take place from January through March 31, 2012. You can vote online or obtain a paper ballot in any one of the bank's 15 branches. We encourage all of our members who are customers of Naugatuck Savings Bank to cast their vote the the Prospect Senior Center.
The votes will be tabulared in April 2012 and the winners will receive a proportional share of the $50,000 with the required 1% of total values, with a maximum award of $5,000.00. In addition, there will be a special award of $5,000.00 to six randomly selected eligible organizations that receive less than the required 1% of the votes.
We are very excited about this opportunity that Naugatuck Saving Bank is offering to organizations such as our Senior Center. If you are a customer of the bank, PLEASE consider casting your vote for the Senior Center. If we were to get an award from the bank, we would like to purchase an additional large commercial size refrigerator for our kitchen. Right now we have one, but it does not give us nearly enough room on a daily basis and especially not enough room when we have our large gatherings here. We always have to borrow refrigerator space from the fire house. An additional refrigerator would help us out trememdously. So please, cast your votes for our Senior Center. Thank you!/p>
