Motion made by T. Graveline, 2nd by Robert Doyon to approve transfer from Legal Fees to Refund of Tax(es) $1,764. Motion Unanimous.
Library Transfer requested reviewed by Barbara Peterson, Head Librarian. Also indicated that the 10th anniversary of the Library will be July 1, 2001 from 3-5 by invitation only. T. Graveline questioned extra money in staff account - Mrs. Peterson indicated it was due to various employee situations, etc. Motion made by T. Graveline, 2nd by D. Franks to approve the transfer request. Unanimous.
Mayor Chatfield pointed out that the cost of police patrol at the Convalescent home on Summit Road is being provided by the state, town is not financially responsible.
Mayor Chatfield reviewed "Contract Between the State of Connecticut Department of Public Safety, Division of State of Police of the town of Prospect". Motion made by D. Franks, 2nd by T. Graveline to execute/implement the Resolution/contract as stated. Unanimous.
Motion made by R. Doyon, 2nd by D. Franks to appoint Michael Battista Town Auditor. Motion Unanimous.
Mayor Chatfield reviewed tax refunds: Motion made by T. Graveline, 2nd by D. Franks to approve tax refunds. Motion Unanimous.
CHAIR REPORT: Informal meeting was held with Animal Control, Town Representatives, State of Conn. Animal control and Police Officers concerning incidents of dog biting, also present were approx. 20-25 residents. Open discussion took place. Important to have document of incidents, 2 cases have been filed with Animal Control, D. Franks voiced concern about the safety of the children living in the house.
