Town Council

March 4, 2003

The Regular Town Council meeting was called to order at 7:08 P.M. by Chair Cynthia L. Gibbons. Members present: Patricia Geary, Cynthia Gibbons, Theresa Graveline, Delores Franks, Douglas Merriman and Edward Miller. Absent Robert Doyon, Domenic Jannetty & Dominick Mirabelle.

CHAIR REPORT: Letter going out to Public Works Department complimenting them on their hard work during this winter.

GUESTS: Diane Lauber, Tax Collector, questioned the status on the elderly tax exemption. Chair indicated that Attorney Casagrande is working on, along with Zoning Ordinance which is 99.9% complete and being reviewed, will submit to Council after subcommittee meets possibly 18th @ 6 P.M. Diane indicated that six residents need to research pertaining to the impact on the town.

Motion made by D. Merriman, 2nd by D. Franks to approve the minutes of February 25, 2003 with amendments. Motion Unanimous

CORRESPONDENCE: February Inspector's Reports; Dec. Expenditures; letter from District Animal Control re: budget. Motion made by P. Geary, 2nd by E. Miller to place correspondence on file. Motion Unanimous

Motion made by T. Graveline, 2nd by P. Geary to add Executive Session to the agenda re: real estate property. Motion Unanimous.

E. Miller suggested looking at the budget and keeping it to the bare bones. Necessary to know what the state is going to give.

T. Graveline indicated that Land Use will be hearing from Water Authority in April whether offering any land for sale.

Motion made by T. Graveline, 2nd by D. Franks to go into executive session at 7:21 P.M. Motion Unanimous

Motion made by P. Geary, 2nd by E. Miller to come out of executive session at 7:33 P.M. No votes or motions where made during executive session. Motion Unanimous

Motion made by P. Geary, 2nd by D. Merriman to adjourn at 7:34 P.M. Motion Unanimous
