The meeting was called to order by Joseph Commendatore, Chair at 3:30 p.m.
Members Present: Robert Doyon, Patricia Geary, Theresa Graveline, Douglas Merriman, Dominick Mirabelle, Roger Kergaravat and Joseph Commendatore.
Mayor Chatfield recommended 24.50 for the mill rate. There is still no information regarding the State budget. Motion made by D. Merriman to set the mill rate for the fiscal year July 2007 through June 2008 at 24.50 mills. Motion seconded by T. Graveline.
T. Graveline stated that it would be ideal for the State to complete their budget process before the Town’s budget process. She asked if it is possible for the Town to change their fiscal year to possibly start in August. The Mayor stated that it is a statute that every town in Connecticut has to have the same fiscal year.
There was general discussion.
Motion unanimous.
