Chairman Thomas Galvin called the meeting to order @ 6 P.M. The meeting was held at Town Hall in Mayor Chatfield's office.
Members Present: T. Galvin, S. PIlat, D. Merriman, M. Scaviola, R. Doyon, P. Geary, and T. Graveline.
Members Absent: C. Graveline and J. Slapikas
Mayor's Report: T. Galvin called the meeting to order and requested a motion to recovene from the Recess declared at the previous meeting of June 1, 2010. Motion made by T. Graveline to come out of Recess from the previous meeing of June 1, 2010 to resume talks to set the Mil Rate. Motion seconded by R. Doyon. Unanimous
Mayor Robert J. Chatfield reviewed the Revenue Sheets and noted a decrease to the following areas: Interest Income, Town Clerk Fees, Telepone Tax Share and Property Conveyance Tax, Mayor Chatfield advised this decrease will cause an increase in the Mil Rate by .26. T. Galvin requested to remove Mil Rate from the table.
Motion made by D. Merriman to remove Mil Rate from table. Motion seconded by R. Doyon. Unanimou
<Motion made by S. Pilat to set the Mil Rate @25.26. Motion seconded by T. Graveline. Discussion. Questions were raised regarding Revenue amounts for the end of the year. Council members stated the amount of increase to the Mil Rate was not expected. Mayor Chatfield advised the Revenues were on course in February. Mayor Chatield also advised the year end Revenues would be given a the end of the fiscal Year. T. Galvin requested a vote for the motion.
Mayor Chatfield stated Empire Paving had won the bid for the Straitsville Road Project. The work will begin in August, before the children go back to school and should take approximately 3 weeks.
Motion made by D. Merriman to adjourn the meeting. Motion seconded by R. Doyon. Unanimous Meeting adjourned at 6:30 P.M>
